ENROLLMENT FOR THE 2025 YOUNG CHEF PROGRAM STARTS

This exciting culinary experience is tailor-made for homeschool students, offering a blend of cooking skills, life skills, and STEAM education. Here's what your homeschooler will learn:

• Class Schedule: Join us every Tuesday starting September 10, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM for engaging sessions.
• Program Duration: Classes run from September to mid-May.
• Drop-Off Program: This is a committed 8-month drop-off program.
• Monthly Themed Classes: Explore new culinary themes each month, from international cuisines to baking techniques.
• Earning Patches: Collect special themed patches at the end of each month to showcase your culinary achievements.

• International Cooking: Discover cuisines from around the world, learning about different ingredients, cooking methods, and cultural significance.
• Culinary Skills: Master essential techniques such as knife skills, sautéing, baking, and grilling, as well as advanced skills like fermentation and homemade pasta making.
• Life Skills: Develop important skills like meal planning, grocery shopping, budgeting, time management, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
• Kitchen and Sanitation Skills: Learn proper kitchen safety and sanitation practices, including food safety, proper storage, and cleanliness.
• STEAM in the Kitchen: Integrate STEAM concepts through cooking, understanding the science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics behind culinary arts.

• First Month's Fee: $248, which includes class materials needed for the program.
• PEP Funding: If your child receives PEP funding, contact Cameron at 239-677-5830 to be added if you are awaiting funding.

Led by Chef Cameron Ball, an ACF Certified Chef and Healthy Hands Instructor with experience from Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland.

• A comprehensive culinary education with essential skills, nutrition knowledge, safety guidelines, and more.
• Monthly skill demonstrations, showcasing your young chef's progress.

The fee covers a Student Chef Kit,  chef jacket, gloves, handouts, and achievement patches..

Culminates in May with a Mini Graduation Ceremony, where your young chef will receive their Gold Chef Culinary Pin.

• This is a drop-off class with limited enrollment.
• Attendance is essential for earning skill patches.
• Chefs must wear closed-toe shoes and have hair pulled back.
• Bring a pencil, binder, clean chef jacket, and gloves to every class.
