    WINTER CULINARY WORKSHOPS

    Part of our Winter Around the World Culinary Workshop Series

    Hola, Young Chefs! This winter break, we’re heading south of the border to explore the vibrant flavors and festive traditions of Mexico — without leaving the kitchen!

    In this hands-on workshop, students will create two authentic favorites completely from scratch:

    •  Chicken Enchiladas with Scratch Red Sauce
       
    •  Churros with Cinnamon Sugar & Chocolate Dipping Sauce

    ⏰ Time: 2:00 – 6:00 PM
    👩‍🍳 Ages: 8–15 (students will be separated into age-appropriate groups)

    Monday – Baja Flame Kickoff

    Baja Chicken Tacos 🌮 with Fiery Chipotle Aioli + Mini Churros with Chocolate Sauce
    🔪 Skills Learned: marinating chicken, searing technique, building flavor layers, emulsifying aioli, safe frying for churros, chocolate ganache basics.


    Tuesday – Smoky Stack & Torch

    Smoky Sliders 🍔 + Torch-Kissed S’mores Bars
    🍔 Skills Learned: shaping patties, seasoning blends, oven roasting potatoes, whipping Marshmallow, safe torch use for caramelization.



    Wednesday – Blazing Bayou Heat

    Blazing Cajun Chicken Pasta 🌶️🔥 + Bananas Foster over Vanilla Ice Cream
    🔥 Skills Learned: building roux-based cream sauce, knife cuts for peppers, sauté control, sugar caramelization, flambé/torch safety demo.


    Thursday – Charcoal & Chocolate

    Artisan Black Charcoal Pizza 🍕 + Molten Lava Cakes
    🍕 Skills Learned: yeast dough formation, proofing and stretching, balancing toppings, oven temperature control, molten center baking timing.


    Friday – Fire Feast Finale

    Chef’s Choice Fire Feast 🔥 — Surprise Menu of Fiery Flavors and Sweet Finishes!
